Learning doesn’t end when the training is over. Resilient Youth is designed to support organizations beyond the initial training experience. Participants receive guidance throughout the learning process, access to additional training opportunities, and ongoing support as they begin incorporating resilience practices into their school or organization. Eligible Illinois educators may receive Professional Development hours for participating in the training.

Who should attend the training?
Resilient Youth training is designed for educators and youth-serving professionals who work directly with young people. Depending on your organization’s goals, participants may include teachers, counselors, administrators, youth program staff, coaches, and other professionals who support youth.
How long is the training?
Training options vary depending on your organization’s goals. Resilient Youth offers everything from introductory workshops to comprehensive Teach-the-Teacher implementation. We’ll work with you to recommend the training option that best fits your organization.
Can the training be customized for our organization?
Yes. Resilient Youth is designed to be flexible. Training can be tailored to meet the unique needs of schools, park districts, libraries, and community-based organizations serving youth.
Can participants receive Illinois Professional Development hours?
Eligible Illinois educators may receive Professional Development hours for participating in Resilient Youth training.
Is there a cost to participate?
No. Thanks to the generous support of our funding partners, Resilient Youth is offered at no cost to Will County residents and to educators, coaches, and youth-serving professionals who support them.

Simply complete the Bring Resilient Youth to Your Organization form. A member of the United Way of Will County team will contact you to learn more about your organization, discuss your goals, and help determine the training option that’s the best fit for you.
