United Way of Will County Awards $1,021,000 in FY26 Community Grants to Strengthen Local Programs

Will County, IL – United Way of Will County is proud to announce the distribution of $1,021,000 in Community Impact Grants for Fiscal Year 2026, supporting 70 programs across 43 nonprofit partners. This investment will drive lasting, measurable change across Will County from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

“These grants, made possible by the generosity of our donors, will directly support vital services in health and wellness, youth opportunity, and financial stability for individuals and families throughout Will County,” said Scott Segobiano, Community Impact Chair of the United Way of Will County Board of Directors. “This investment reflects United Way’s commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community by funding programs that address real needs and create lasting change.”

Funding by Impact Area:

Healthy Community – $502,500
36 programs improving access to healthcare, mental health services, nutritious food, safe environments, and support for survivors, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Youth Opportunity – $291,500
25 programs supporting academic achievement, leadership development, mentoring, recreation, and career readiness for young people.

Financial Stability – $227,000
9 programs enhancing financial security through workforce development, financial coaching, and housing stability.

“This funding not only supports 43 nonprofit partners across health, youth, and financial stability, it uplifts thousands of lives throughout the county,” said Mike Paone, Board Chair of United Way of Will County. “The thoughtful, transparent process behind these grants speaks volumes about United Way’s deep commitment to equity, accountability, and measurable outcomes. All grant applications underwent a rigorous, community-led review process that included written proposals, in-person site visits, and presentations to panels made up of trained community volunteers. These volunteers, whose time and insight were instrumental to this funding cycle, help ensure that United Way’s investments are equitable, impact-driven, and responsive to the real needs of Will County residents.
