2025 Spirit of Giving

Calling all Elves in Training!  Join us for a Family-Friendly Holiday Event

Get ready to spread holiday cheer with the United Way of Will County and become one of Santa’s Elves in Training!  On Saturday, December 6th, Santa’s Workshop will be in full swing at the Promenade Bolingbrook, offering a magical, family-friendly volunteer opportunity to give back during this festive season.

Whether you’re a family, scout group, or simply someone with a generous spirit, you’re invited to join our team of Elves in Training and make a difference!

Choose from three fun-filled sessions:

• 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
• 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
• 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Participation is just $5 per person, and you can also purchase a special Elf in Training patch to remember your day of giving.

Here’s What Our Elves in Training Will Do

• Craft snuggly stuffed buddies for brave children:  Help First Responders comfort children during emergencies with a cuddly companion and a hug when it’s needed most.
• Assemble care kits that show kindness in every item:  Pack essentials for unsheltered neighbors in Will County, small items that make a big impact.
• Create festive holiday cards filled with cheer:  Design heartfelt cards to spread joy and encouragement this holiday season.
• Make ornaments that shine with kindness:  Craft Christmas ornaments to brighten the homes of seniors who receive Meals on Wheels.
• Meet Santa Claus himself:  Say hello to Santa as he greets his Elves in Training and takes photos to remember this special day at the North Pole.
• Enjoy storytime with Mrs. Claus:  Gather ’round for magical tales from the North Pole, stories filled with warmth, wonder, and the true meaning of giving.

Bring a Toy, Spread the Joy!

Feel free to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate!
All gifts will be distributed to local organizations ensuring every child in Will County has something special to unwrap this holiday season.
