Family Friendly Event

Join the United Way of Will County in spreading the Spirit of Giving throughout Will County! On Saturday, December 2nd, be part of our heartwarming Santa’s Workshop event at the Promenade Bolingbrook, offering a fantastic and family-friendly volunteer opportunity to give back during the holiday season.

This event is perfect for families, scout groups, or anyone with a generous spirit who wants to make a difference. You have three sessions to choose from: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm, or 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The cost to participate is just $5 per person, and you also have the option to purchase a fun patch to commemorate your involvement.

Activities at Santa’s Workshop include:

• Creating adorable stuffed animals, specially designed to be given to First Responders. These stuffed animals will be offered to children in need during emergency calls.
• Crafting festive holiday cards and assembling care packages for the unsheltered population in Will County.
• Making Christmas ornaments to bring joy to seniors in Will County who are homebound.
• Meeting and greeting Santa himself.
• Enjoying a delightful storytime with Mrs. Claus.
• As a touching and optional act of kindness, you’re welcome to bring an unwrapped toy, which will be donated to various organizations, ensuring that children in Will County have a special gift under their tree. By doing so, you’ll also have a chance to win a $100 gift card to H&M.
